170831-N-ON468-0030 EWA BEACH, HI (August 31, 2017) Dr. Christina Kishimoto, Superintendent for the Hawaii Department of Education, congratulates Nuclear Trained Machinist's Mate 1st Class Travis Callison for his outstanding volunteer service recognition at the 16th annual Joint Venture Education Forum (JVEF) in Ewa Beach, HI. The JVEF is a cooperative partnership between Hawaii's military community, the Hawaii Department of Education, and other community organizations, highlighting the volunteer success stories of Hawaii's military service members, students and their families. JVEF's mission is to facilitate the educational concerns and unique needs of military children and their families, such as transitioning to the islands, and to support Hawaii's public school students.
