LOS ANGELES (Aug. 31, 2017) Vice Adm. Nora W. Tyson, commander, U.S. 3rd Fleet, speaks to local high school principals and superintendents during a meeting, held in conjunction with the second annual Los Angeles Fleet Week, with educators at the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce about what the men and women in today’s Navy are learning. LA Fleet Week is an opportunity for the American public to meet their Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard team and experience America’s sea services. During fleet week service members participate in various community events, showcase capabilities and equipment to the community, and enjoy the hospitality of Los Angeles and surrounding areas have to offer.
