Soldiers assigned to U.S. Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) disembark a commercial plane at the flight line of Yokota Air Base as they arrive in Japan for the upcoming Exercise Orient Shield 2017 (OS 17). OS 17 is an annual, bilateral exercise cosponsored by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) and USARPAC and is scheduled to take place on September 11 through 25 in and around Higashi-Fuji Training Area in Shizuoka Prefecture and Ojojibara Training Area in Miyagi Prefecture.
