Staff Sgt. Bill Moody, a C-130 loadmaster deployed with the 737th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron from Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, gives steering directions to Senior Airman Romero Corchado, 447th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron baggage representative, on the Sather Air Base flightline Feb. 24. Sather Air Base is the busiest aerial port within the Iraq area of operations. The port typically handles multiple types of fixed-wing aircraft, including C-130s, C-17s, C-5s, IL-76s, and the Ukrainian built Antenov AN-124 strategic airlift jet aircraft. The port also assists in the movement, coordination, and refueling of multiple rotary aircraft including UH-60s, UH-1s, and the occasional CH-47.
