    U.S. Air Force crew chiefs wait to taxi in C-17 Globemaster III's on a runway at Fort Polk, La., picking up U.S. Army Airborne soldiers from the 1st Task Force, JRTC, Operations Group, for an airdrop mission on Dec. 15, 2010 during a Large Formation Exercise. C-17 aircraft from Joint Base Charleston participated in a Large Formation Exercise demonstrating the global projection of U.S. airpower. The crew's mission was to perform aerial refueling training utilizing a MacDill Air Force Base KC-135 Stratotanker and conduct a strategic brigade airdrop with U.S. Army Airborne soldiers from the 1st Task Force, JRTC, Operations Group, Fort Polk, La.
