PACIFIC OCEAN – Corpsmen treat a simulated casualty during night casualty evacuation training in an UH-1Y Huey aboard USS San Diego (LPD 22), Aug. 16, 2017. Training at night prepares the medical team to handle any mission set regardless the time of day. The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and America Amphibious Ready Group are operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance regional partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency. The Corpsmen are with the 15th MEU’s Logistic Combat Element, Shock Trauma Platoon, Combat Logistic Battalion-15, the aircraft is with the 15th MEU’s Aviation Combat Element, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (REIN).
