U.S. Airmen assigned to the 1st Combat Communications Squadron repair and assemble a communications tent during Exercise Lending Hand on Ramstein Air Base, Germany, Aug. 21, 2017. The 1st CBCS was one of several squadrons working together to open a base for the exercise. Exercising together helped the 435th Air Ground Operations Wing identify opportunities for improvement, ensure personnel can function cohesively, and keep everyone on the same page so that when a contingency happens and the U.S. needs to open a base in a remote location, the wing can do so quickly and efficiently.
