1st Lt. Christian Reeves, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, takes off from the start point into the woods as dawn approaches after marking the points he has to find on his map during the daytime land navigation course at the 2017 European Best Warrior Competition Aug. 24 at Grafenwohr Training Area, Germany. Reeves was the first to complete the course. Land navigation is one of the many physically and mentally demanding events the Soldiers face during the competition.
