A U.S. Marine with Combat Logistics Battalion 13 provides security while a simulated casualty is transported to safety during a field medical training exercise on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jul. 18, 2017. The Marines are placed in scenarios meant to test them not only tactically through patrolling but also establishing and securing an expedient casualty collection point, assessment, treatment and triage of all casualties, and movement of patient under fire to a landing zone.
