U.S. Coast Guard deploys boom for exercise Maritime Disruption 2017 [Image 14 of 14]
Crew members from the Coast Guard Atlantic Strike Team, Coast Guard Sector Buffalo and Coast Guard Sector Detroit work together to place more than 1,200 feet of boom Aug. 22, 2017 during an exercise in the St. Lawrence Seaway in Clayton, New York. The boom deployment was part of Maritime Disruption 2017, an exercise designed to test the CANUSLAK agreement and regional contingency plans and strategies for the protection of the St. Lawrence River.
