Soldiers with the 191st Military Police Company escort 347th Regional Support Group Commander, Col. Lowell Kruse, during a personal security detail at Camp Ripley on Aug. 20, 2017. The 191st, which is preparing for a PSD mission in Afghanistan next year, asked for a training opportunity with Kruse during the brigade’s Combat Support Training Exercise. Once out of the armored vehicle (simulated in this event), the team forms a security perimeter around their principal and are trained to protect him at all costs – including acting as a human shield.
