Soldiers with the 191st Military Police Company form a perimeter around 347th Regional Support Group Commander, Col. Lowell Kruse, during a personal security detail at Camp Ripley on Aug. 20, 2017. The 191st, which is preparing for a PSD mission in Afghanistan next year, asked for a training opportunity with Kruse during the brigade’s Combat Support Training Exercise. With their extensive civilian and military backgrounds Soldiers of the unit are bringing a wide variety of skills along with them, to include electrician, paramedic, chemical explosive ordnance disposal and a standing sheriff. “I like knowing we have those subject matter experts with us, just in case we need them,” said 1st Lt. John Mazur, officer in charge of the 29-Soldier team.
