United States Marine Corps Lance Cpl. Melissa Parker enjoys a joke before her Armed Forces Boxing Championship 132-pound title fight at the Chaparral Fitness Center, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, Feb. 18, 2011. Parker returned to the sport of boxing just one year ago after taking a two-year hiatus to focus on caring for her daughter, who was born in 2007 with a rare and very serious condition called congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Parker started boxing competitively in 2004 and is a three-time national champion, having been previously ranked #1 in the world.
