Command Sgt. Maj. Ronald Riling, the senior enlisted leader for U.S. Army Forces Command, talks casually with a junior soldier from the377th Field Artillery Regiment of the 17th Fires Brigade on Joint Base Lewis-McChord Feb. 15, during a two-day visit to JBLM – one of only a few FORSCOM-predominate Army installations in the world – to assess the quality of life among units and the concerns of both leaders and junior soldiers. Soldiers with the 377th Field Artillery Regt. were testing for the first time a newly-fielded, lightweight Howitzer canon system, called the M777.
