David Shoemaker “Wolf”, 8th Fighter Wing commander, speak to U.S. Air Force Academy cadets during a visit to Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea, July 7, 2017. Duthiers visited Kunsan as part of the “CBSN: On Assignment” program, which highlighted U.S. service members defending Kunsan AB and their role in the Pacific Theater. The cadets were not only given the opportunity to see capabilities Kunsan AB provides the Pacific Air Forces but also learned how the U.S. military and civilian media interact from both perspectives.
