An Oregon Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook helicopter with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 168th Aviation Regiment, carries a nearly full 2,000-gallon capacity Bambi Bucket above the Mount Jefferson Wilderness Area in order to support firefighting efforts along a ridge at the Whitewater Fire, August 9, 2017. The Oregon National Guard was called upon to assist following Governor Kate Brown's emergency order on August 2. Two Chinook helicopters from the Pendleton, Oregon, based unit are currently assigned to the fire, along with the necessary flight crew, fuelers, maintainers and operations personnel. (Photo by Capt.
