PACIFIC OCEAN – Marines with Landing Support Combat Logistic Battalion-15 attached to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit stand ready to connect the lifting cable to an UH-1Y Huey with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (REIN) during external lift training aboard USS San Diego (LPD 22), July 31, 2017. The training refines the skills of the pilots and crew of the UH-1Y Huey as they lift loads of pallets in preparation to transport equipment. The 15th MEU and America Amphibious Ready Group are operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance regional partnerships and serve as a ready-response capability for any type of contingency.
