Jackson, Miss., native Lt. Col. Angela Odom (center), commander, 15th Personnel Services Battalion, 15th Sustainment Brigade, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) receives a plaque in appreciation for serving as the keynote speaker at the 1st Cavalry Division's "African-American-Black History Month Observance" event in the Division Chapel on Camp Liberty, Iraq, Feb. 15. Presenting Odom the plaque are Lancaster, S.C., native Command Sgt. Maj. Jeffery Moses (left), the top noncommissioned officer with the Division Special Troops Battalion and 1st Cavalry Division as well as Setauket, N.Y. native Lt. Col. Daniel Garcia, the DSTB commander. The event recognized the contributions of African Americans to the history of the U.S. and its armed forces.
