Officer Kevin Zebro with the Fort McCoy, Wis., Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) Police Department operates a remote control car that is used to interact with children during the Monroe County National Night Out event Aug. 1, 2017, in Tomah, Wis. Several members of the DES Police Department and Fire Department set up displays and interacted with hundreds of people who attended the event. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police and emergency services personnel partnerships with communities and promotes neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
