McKay, a spectrum manager with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, dons and clears his mask after suddenly being engulfed in a cloud of CS Gas Feb. 3, on the trail behind the Marine Corps Base Gas Chamber. Marines with the 24th MEU took part in a different rendition of their annual chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense training by walking down a trail where they had to respond to CS Gas suddenly and without warning.
