Fire support teams with 3rd Battalion,15th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division radio in a fire mission during a fire support coordination exercise August 1, 2017 at Fort Stewart, Ga. The Soldiers called in 60mm, 81mm, and 120mm mortar rounds for their organic mortar platoon and directed 30mm cannon-bursts from two AH-64D Apache attack helicopters with 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division. Precision and lethal fires allow Soldiers to effectively maneuver on and destroy enemy forces.
