Competitors Jason Smith and Alika Chee barrel down a straight stretch while participating in the Elite Category of the Criterium Bike Race Series on the flight line of Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Jan. 16. The Elite competitors raced the 1.1-mile loop on the closed runway for 60 minutes. As they crossed the finish line, Chee finished second behind his Boca Hawaii teammate Ray Brust. Smith came in third. The day's races were the first in a series of four held between January and March at MCAS, with the next scheduled here, Feb. 6.
