Master Sgt. Reginald Angeles (right), technical control chief for 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Fwd), tried to hold off a late charge by Petty Officer 2nd Class Guy Abbott, a mechanic with Navy Mobile Construction Battalion-3, during the 1.2-mile run portion of the CrossFit Leatherneck FitnessChallenge Throwdown at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, Feb. 5. Angeles is a native of Middletown, R.I., while Abbott is from Red Bluff, Calif. Fifty-nine coalition personnel took part in the event, which featured four grueling sets of events over two days.
