NEW CASTLE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE, Del. - Staff Sgt. Andrew Duefler, 166th Airlift Wing Security Forces, dons his gas mask after responding to a simulated active shooter incident and smoke notification inject during an exercise on August 5, 2017. Exercise Vigilant Diamond took place from August 4th – 5th 2017. Response capabilities of base personnel were tested during simulated events that arose during various phases of the exercise. Members of the Delaware Air National Guard responded to scenarios including an active shooter incident, hazardous materials incident, and an explosive ordinance device sighting.
