Shaun Pieters, a fieldcraft instructor for the South African Army’s infantry school, demonstrates to U.S. troops how to prepare a “rat pack,” or field ration, July 23, 2017, during Exercise Shared Accord 2017 at the South African Army Combat Training Center in Lohatla, South Africa.
