Sailors and Marines from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan and embarked Carrier Air Wing 14 march to their positions as they prepare to man the rails prior to leaving San Diego bay. It is traditional for the crew to man the rails as they depart the harbor for extended periods at sea. The Ronald Reagan Strike Group is underway conducting Joint Task Force Exercises prior to a deployment to the Western Pacific and Central Command areas of operation.
