U.S. Vice President Mike Pence received a Cavalry Stetson from Lt. Col. Adam Lackey, commander for 1st Squadron, 2d Cavalry Regiment during a ceremony Aug. 1, 2017 in Tbilisi, Georgia for Noble Partner 17. It is tradition for a cavalry soldier to wear the iconic headgear for ceremonies and special dates. The Squadron is in Georgia for Noble Partner 17, a U.S. Army Europe-led exercise designed to support the training, progression and eventual certification of Georgia’s second light infantry company’s contribution to the NATO Response Force. The training will take place at the Vaziani Training Area.
