Sfc. Shaun Jenson and Pfc. Aaron Last work to mark a disable car and transport its driver to safety in Iowa City, Iowa, Feb. 1. Members of the Iowa National Guard are assisting the Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa State Patrol on Highway Assistance Teams during a massive blizzard that moved through the Midwest Feb. 1 and 2. HAT's provide emergency rescue and transportation to stranded motorists during times of excessive snow. The Iowa National Guard posted 3 Highway Assistance Teams at key Department of Transportation sites to help motorists in need. Soldiers worked are working from facilities in Coralville, Mount Pleasant and Davenport, Iowa.
