Air Force aircrews assigned to the New York Air National Guard's 109th Airlift Wing conduct a combat offload of cargo off a 109th Airlift Wing LC-130 Skibird transported to the East Greenland Ice Core Project (GRIP) July 29, 2017. That was the 13th mission the 109th Airlift Wing made to East GRIP this season to transport cargo and scientists. The 109th Airlift Wing is uniquely equipped to make landings on snow and ice in support of National Science Foundation research in Greenland. U.S. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt.
