Illinois Army National Guard 20th Special Forces Group Commander, United States Army Special Forces Command, Maj. Joseph Frescura, was recognized during the 3rd Quarter Military Salute at the NFL's NFC Championship game, at Soldier Field Jan. 23, in front of 62,377 fans. Frescura and his soldiers were recognized for bravery after a 3-day battle in Afghanistan by the United States Army Special Operations Command, USASFC and the Illinois Army National Guard. The recognition went over with a bang as Frescura ran though the crowd so fans could thank him and the entire stadium started chanting "USA USA," while he shook hands with them.
