    Cpl. Garret Plessinger, an assault amphibious vehicle maintenance chief with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is a native of Coatsville, Indiana. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in July 2014 after graduating from North Putanm High School. Plessinger is currently supporting Exercise Talisman Saber 17 aboard the USS Ashland (LSD 48), July 18, 2017. Talisman Saber is a biennial exercise designed to improve the interoperability between Australian and U.S. forces.
