Field is the commander of 3rd Brigade; Doyon is commodore of Amphibious Squadron 11 and the USS Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group; and Wallace is the commanding officer of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Talisman Saber is a biennial exercise designed to improve the interoperability between Australian and U.S. forces.
