Recruits of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, execute techniques during a Marine Corps Martial Arts Program session at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 23. One of the purposes of MCMAP is to teach recruits basic offensive and defensive techniques, which gives them the opportunity to master the moves in preparation for the MCMAP test later in training. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Sept. 8.
