U.S. Navy Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Gary Roughhead speaks to sailors at the International Security Assistance Force Headquarters’ 37 Club here today.
Roughhead and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy Rick West spoke to sailors about the current status and future goals of the Navy before answering questions. As a final note, Roughhead asked sailors to thank those who are supporting them – the wives and families – who do the things they can’t get done before they leave on a deployment.
The CNO and MCPON are on a 14-day trip to speak to sailors in Afghanistan and Iraq and other bases in the Central Command.
