A U.S. Navy C-2 Greyhound with Detachment 5, VRC-30, Fleet Logistics Support Squadron, Carrier Air Group 5, out of Atsugi, Japan, taxis for takeoff, July 13, 2017, at RAAF Base Townsville, Queensland, Australia. The cooperation of U.S. Naval aviation with RAAF personnel is an example of U.S. Australian interoperability. The C-2 Greyhounds are flying supplies and mail to service members participating in Exercise Talisman Saber2017. These service members are a part of more than 33,000 U.S. and Australian personnel are participating in the biennial military training Talisman Saber 2017 in Australia. Talisman Saber is jointly sponsored by the U.S. Pacific Command and the Australian Defence Force Headquarters Joint Operations Command and incorporates U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force and the Australian Defence Force as well as other government agencies from each country.(U.S. Army National Guard photo by Pfc.
