SAN DIEGO (July 7, 2017) The Peruvian submarine BAP Pisagua (SS 33) arrives at Naval Base Point Loma in support of the Diesel-Electric Submarine Initiative (DESI) program. Pisagua, commanded by Cmdr. Sergio Garma, is visiting San Diego to conduct training and exercises with the U.S. Navy, including anti-submarine warfare and submarine rescue operations.
