U.S Army 2nd Lt. Taylor Gingrich, an infantry officer from Cedar Falls, Iowa, with Company A, 1st Battalion, 133rd Infantry Regiment, Task Force Ironman, part of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division, Task Force Red Bulls, scans the area in reaction to an attack on Combat Outpost Najil here, Dec. 29. Four mortar rounds struck the COP. No soldiers were hurt, and the attack was quickly suppressed with close-air support.
