Kampers ended their stay at Kids Kamp with a graduation ceremony on June 30, 2017 at Camp Dawson. Each kamper was given a challenge coin commemorating the 25th anniversary of Kids Kamp by Major General James A. Hoyer, the Adjutant General of West Virginia Joint Forces Headquarters.
Kids Kamp first started in 1991 as a project of the State Fair Council, to give the dependents of deployed service members a better understanding of what their parents experienced, while overseas.
