Benjamin Sharp of Colorado Springs, Colo., during the 14th MDB change of command and responsibility ceremony held Monday, June 26, 2017, in the Centrale Hotel at Omiya, Kyotango, Japan. The passing of the unit’s guidon represents the transfer of command and responsibility from one individual to the other. This ceremony represented the complete transfer of responsibility, authority and accountability from the outgoing command team to Capt. Anton McDuffie of Tampa, Fla., the incoming commander and 1st. Sgt. Myron Metcalf of Fayetteville, N.C., the incoming first sergeant.
