170307-N-KC128-797 PEARL HARBOR (March 7, 2017) Faces of the Deep: “My uncle was in the submarine force so it is kind of a family tradition. When I was signing up to join the Navy, Electronics Technician Navigation sounded awesome to me. Being able to do planning and navigation for a pretty powerful warship makes my rate pretty interesting. My best memory so far was being able to rig the bridge and see dolphins on the bow of the boat swimming with us. It was an awesome sight,” said Electronics Technician Navigation Seaman (SS) Hunter Hopkins, a native of Lizella, Georgia, and Sailor on the Virginia-class submarine USS Texas (SSN 775).
