SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 16, 2017) A rigid-hull inflatable boat from the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sterett (DDG 104) conducts a series of maneuvers and exchanges with the People’s Liberation Army (Navy) frigate CNS Huangshan (FFG-570). Sterett is part of the Sterett-Dewey Surface Action Group and is the third deploying group operating under the command and control construct called 3rd Fleet Forward.
