Deck Department sailors aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan secure the chain stoppers in the foc’sle as the ship gets underway from its home port of San Diego. Chain stoppers hold the ship’s anchor in the up position when the ship is underway or moored pierside. Sailors from Deck Department successfully completed a starboard anchor drop test shortly after getting underway to conduct operations in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
