Spc. Cory Alexander, Little Rock, Ark., Headquarters and Headquarters Company 1-114 Security and Support Aviation Battalion, Multinational Battle Group East, Arkansas National Guard, and Spc. Kyle Shorter, Clementon, N.J., finance clerk, 350th Finance Detachment, MNBG E, New Jersey National Guard, start the Dancon March Nov. 21. The Dancon March is a tradition for Danish soldiers wherever they are stationed, and has been held every year since 1972. The march consists of approximately 26 kilometers (about 16 miles) of trail, the terrain varying based on the area in which the march is held.
