Gen. Peter W. Chiarelli (center), vice chief of staff of the U.S. Army, and Dr. Joseph W. Westphal (right), under secretary of the U.S. Army, prepare to tour the 14th Transportation Battalion, 103rd Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), headquarters during their visit Dec. 5 at Joint Base Balad, Iraq. Chiarelli and Westphal spoke with service members about their goal to improve deployed troops' physical and behavioral welfare during the deployment/redeployment processes, and also discussed current operations here.
