MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – Marines with 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Logistics Combat Element transport equipment for the light-weight purification system during Certification Exercise, June 9, 2017. Water produced by the “water dogs” can support a whole battalion conducting operations ashore in an austere environment. CERTEX is the last in a series of training exercises, which certifies the MEU capable for deployment in support of fleet and combatant commanders across the full range of military operations.
