At the end of the course during a certificate presentation, Soldiers were awarded their Basic Combatives (Level I) certification. The purpose of the class was to help Soldiers become more confident in their abilities to engage the enemy in close combat. The course is also worth promotion points for the enlisted Soldiers who participated.
