Photo shows Wireless Independent Target System installed on a 15th Mechanized Brigade Polish BWP infantry fighting vehicle. The system is used by the U.S. military and other armed forces around the world for training purposes to simulate actual battle. 15th MECH is participating with Battle Group Poland in Saber Strike 17 at Bemowo Piskie, Poland, June 12, 2017 and this is the first time the two units are participating together in the U.S. Army Europe-led multinational combined forces exercise which is conducted annually to enhance the NATO alliance throughout the Baltic region and Poland. This year’s exercise includes integrated and synchronized deterrence-oriented training designed to improve interoperability and readiness of the 20 participating nations’ militaries.
