170605-N-NJ416-0027 PACIFIC OCEAN (June 5, 2017) Marines assigned to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, conduct training on the non-combatant evacuation operation tracking system in the vehicle stowage area of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America is currently underway conducting Certification Exercise (CERTEX) as part of the third and final phase of qualifications for their upcoming deployment. The America Amphibious Ready Group is comprised of more than 1,800 Sailors and 2,600 Marines assigned to the amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22), and America.
