Retired Senior Chief Petty Officer Clarence Buchheister, a Battle of Leyte Gulf veteran, is presented with a command ball cap by Mr. Paul Jaeger, U.S. Fleet Cyber Command Executive Director for the Navy Cryptologic Component, at a ceremony held for the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway at Fort George G. Meade, Md. Base Theater. Instrumental to the Battle of Midway were the Navy cryptologists who deciphered the Japanese naval code, JN-25, giving U.S. Naval forces advanced warning of the Japanese invasion of the Pacific.
