U.S. Forces-Iraq Deputy Commanding General of Operations Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone congratulates Pfc. Ryan Jones, an infantryman assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade 25th Infantry Division before presenting him with a Bronze Star Medal with valor device during an awards ceremony at Contingency Operating Base Speicher, Iraq, Dec. 2, 2010. Cone presented the award to Jones for actions taken when his platoon was ambushed Sept. 7. Jones said he believes all of his platoon mates are just as deserving of recognition for their efforts that day.
